Homemade Lcd Loupe

HI folks. I made this LCD loupe instead of paying CDN$80 for the Hoodman loupe. Its made from a Kaiser #2012 slide viewer ($7) and a Nikon rubber eyecup from the junk bin of a local camera shop ($!). The contact surfaces were sanded smooth and stick-on felt applied. The interior was painted flat black. The eyecup was trimmed so that it hadto be stretched a little to fit over the viewer and stuck on with crazy glue. Electrical tape was applied for cosmetics and to assist with holding it on. A piece of 20 GA brass wire was put through two small holes and bent flush on the inside for the lanyard. The lip on the bottom locates on a ridge of my Lumix L1 perfectly. All but a thin sliver of width is seen on the 2.5" LCD screen, making it easy to check composition and exposure in bright sunlight. It worked out very well!
